We have been operating an account of others manufacturing dies for hot metal pressing since 1948.

The great variety of products that have followed one another over the years have made our design and tooling department became our mainstay with specific skills.

With his cad/cam stations and high qualified personnel, top level product engineering is always obtained providing a sound technical backing, in constant collaboration with the customer to meet all requirements.

To Production

Wire and plunge electrical discharge machining, machining centres, NC milling machines i line with the cad/cam system form part of our tool shop which is routinely renewed and warrants fine-tuning of the die keeping it in efficient conditions before it goes into production.

With quality control

The quality department which has always followed a concrete philosophy, has a state-of-the-art metrological room which constantly controls incoming during the different stages with sophisticated equipment. On request, product certification is provided.

Defectometer The DEFECTOMETER is an instrument that exploits induced current and its purpose is to detect any cracks on ferrous and non ferrous dies and pieces.

Vertical measurement device The VERTICAL MEASUREMENT DEVICE is used for very high precision dimensional inspection.

Sigmatest The SIGMATEST in an induced current device used to establish the conductivity of all non ferrous metals. It is used at SCAF to detect defects due to overheating in aluminium allays, identify alloys and metals and check the homogeneity of metals.

Roughness meter The ROUGHNESS METER is a portable device indispensable for checking the quality of the surfaces of parts and dies.

Smart scope The Smart scope, hwich is the pride of our metrological room exploits an optical system, which through a video camera contains a microscope and a machine or serial threedimensional controls in a single instrument. In is all perfectly programmable through a self-teaching system.
